CleanTech LA brings together business, government, and academia to grow the cleantech sector in Los Angeles, promoting sustainability and economic growth.

Connecting LA's cleantech professionals through networking and educational events, CleanTech LA introduces innovators to investors, professors to policy makers, dreamers to doers, and everything in between. In a big city like Los Angeles, it's important to bring the right people together, and the potential for collaboration is huge.

By telling LA's cleantech story to the world, CleanTech LA promotes Los Angeles as the greenest big city in the United States, a center for cleantech research and innovation, and a creative capital where ideas for a sustainable economy find the support they need to make an impact. LA's infrastructure assets, universities, large and diverse workforce and progressive environmental policies make it a great place for cleantech.

Supporting collaborative research and technology commercialization, CleanTech LA builds on the talents of LA's three world class universities — UCLA, USC, and Caltech — to develop an innovation pipeline that will produce the jobs of the future. CleanTech LA advocates for research funding and helps connect local companies to university intellectual property.

Port of LA Pollution Declines for 4th Straight Year
The port of Los Angeles is living up to its Clean Air Action Plan commitment with up to 50% less diesel particulate matter (DPM) in Wilmington from 2006. Cleaner equipment, the Clean Truck Program and state air quality regulations have been a major part of the port’s success.

According to the Sierra Club Angeles Chapter’s Water Conservation Measures Scorecard, Los Angeles ranked highest amongst Los Angeles and Orange County cities, saving more than 75 billion gallons-over one-third of the city’s annual usage.
